The Vaan R5 is the perfect size for extended blue water cruising or a family live-aboard. The R5 is made of truly sustainable and circular materials such as recycled aluminium, FSC certified cork decking, recycled fabrics. And of course it is all-electric too. At 49ft the Vaan R5 really goes the distance. A luxury platform to explore the most distant places and faraway islands. A spacious sailing machine for couples to large families. And like every Vaan it is made of circular materials and almost entirely recyclable. A true testament to the Vaan mission: Sail the Planet. This Vaan R5 comes well equipped with 2 x OceanVolt 30 kW engines, Fisher Panda 18kW generator, watermaker, airconditioning for heating and cooling, electric carbon furler boom, cork decking, electric winches and much more. The design of every Vaan is based on circular principles from the start. It is mostly made of recyclable materials and it is almost completely recyclable itself. The hull is made of more than 50% recycled aluminium like old window frames, traffic signs and license plates. Some parts contain even more than 85% reused materials.
