This is an exciting project opportunity to own a Wharram Tiki 38 catamaran – approximately 70% complete and ready for the final stages, offering six berths in four cabins.

This vessel has been built to a renowned ocean-going design with full vessel drawings included. This project offers the perfect chance for a hands-on sailor to finish and personalise a capable, long-range cruising catamaran.

Accommodation :
This Wharram Tiki 38 project offers the purchaser the ability to personalize and convert the layout during the remainder of the build process offering six berths in four cabins.

The vessel already benefits from a fitted galley area a midships on the portside, with a single stainless steel sink, a drawer fridge, and ample cupboard storage with extra space to add a possible seating area or navigation station.

The heads compartment is located in the forward starboard compartment with a composting toilet, a shower, and a single stainless-steel sink. This area also benefits from a Water Maker with a 90 litre fresh water capacity plastic tank. The vessel also includes facility for a chemical toilet to aft of the main sleeping cabin

This sale of this vessel also includes, custom-built mattresses from Ship Shape for the main cabin, fore cabin, aft cabin, and steering pod.
The Wharram Tiki 38 has been fitted with opening deck hatches and port holes allowing for natural light in the hulls.

‚The steering pod is a modified version of the original Wharram design and offers comfortable seating, storage and cooking areas, and access to both port and starboard hulls.

A folding table for this area is included. All control lines are led back to the steering pod thus allowing full helm control from the pod. A bespoke solid canopy is included but has yet to be installed. The sides can be completed as desired. Many of the modifications drew from another Tiki 38 called ‚Lucky Fish‘, which has an extensive online presence for reference.
The rear decking and boarding ramp has not been completed but the materials to do so are included.‘

History & Construction:
‚This Wharram Tiki 38 has been owned and built over the last 14 years. Built to Plan No 123, the plans, build book and instructions are included in the sale.

The boat has been built using the finest materials; hulls and steering pod made of Robbins Elite marine plywood sheathed and faired in 3-5 layers of West Systems cloth and epoxy.

The hull topsides and steering pod have been finished to an exceptionally high standard with 7 layers of Hempel’s 2 part paint. The keels and antifouling is 5 coats of copper coat. The project is 70% complete.‘

Sails and Spars:
The Wharram Tiki 38 has Wharram’s unique soft Wingsail rig, with two wooden hollow deck stepped masts, professionally built by Noble Masts of Bristol. The gaffs have been built by the owner according to Wharram plans. Only the unused cordage for the running rig is included. The headsail is not included but the foredeck has been built to accommodate a roller reefing system.
Top quality 2018 Marblehead sails from Jekells are also included in the sale. The set includes 2 mainsails and a cruising chute.‘
