The Outremer 45 is the most well-known model from the French shipyard Outremer. It began in 2000 and ended in 2010 with almost 40 units produced. A true success story that continues to resonate as a reference for long voyages. Gérard Danson created a superb versatile cruising catamaran that is powerful and easy to use, even with a very small crew, if not alone! Much pleasure in sailing as it is a fast and lively boat in all conditions. Its pleasant cockpit makes life easy at anchor.

The second bathroom has been converted into fresh produce storage (fruit and vegetables) and a „wet“ cupboard for drying wet sailing clothes.
This bathroom can easily be restored to its original state, as all the plumbing, sink and pumps are still installed. All you have to do is put back a toilet to get back a complete bathroom.

She has been carefully equipped for round-the-world cruising in total comfort:
– 70cm extended skirts (45’=>47′), rigid water-recovery bimini, 600w solar panels, AIS, 2 fridges, 1 freezer, an impressive number of quality sails (1 hydranet mainsail, 1 solent, 2 code 0, 1 code D, 1 gennaker, 1 stormbag), new Dyform rigging, replaced in 2022.
Her maintenance has been meticulously carried out over the years, enabling her today to be in irreproachable condition, with a TON of spare parts on board, enough to set sail in the most remote corners with complete peace of mind.

History :
This catamaran has only had 2 owners since it was first launched.
The 1st, from 2001 to 2008, won the ARC in 2001 and sailed around the Atlantic (he is Outremer’s DG in 2024…).
The current owner, a childless couple, bought the boat back from the Outremer yard in La Grande Motte, France, for a complete overhaul. The couple crossed the Atlantic and based the boat in Le Marin, Martinique for 7 years. The boat was only used for vacations.

Then, in 2015, they returned to the Mediterranean for a complete refit at the Outremer yard to carry out major improvements: installation of a rigid bimini (with rainwater recovery and integrated lighting), and lengthening of the skirts. Then a new Atlantic crossing and exploration of the Caribbean basin of the Caribbean arc, Venezuela, then Central America and Panama in 2018.Now sailing as a retired couple in the Pacific since 2019: Panama, Galapagos, Ecuador, Easter Island, Pitcairn and French Polynesia.
