History of the Gib’Sea Shipyard
The shipyard Gibert Marine, creator of the brand Gib’Sea, was founded in 1972 in Marans, Charente-Maritime. Initially, the shipyard produced sports keelboats before specializing in the construction of cruising and cruiser-racer boats. In 1996, Gibert Marine was acquired by the shipyard Dufour, which retained the name of the famous Gib’Sea range.
