Contruction Constructed using a conventional, modern production-line process with a solid fiberglass or Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) hull and polyester resin. This manufacturing method allowed Bavaria to produce spacious and well-made cruising yachts at an affordable price.
Construction details
Hull: The hull is a single piece molded from solid fiberglass, or polyester resin with a glass fiber mat.with the shollow draft version (1.5m).
Deck and superstructure: The deck and superstructure are also made of molded polyester, featuring non-slip surfaces and designed for efficient production.
Interior joinery: All plywood and other components for the interior were precision-cut and finished using computer-controlled (CNC) machines before being assembled into modular units. This improved consistency and reduced labor time.
Assembly: Interior modules were installed into the hull before the deck was attached, a standardized assembly-line process that ensured consistency and repeatable quality.
Keel installation: The cast-iron keel was installed using a laser-guided jig for accurate placement, and it was both bolted and glued to the hull for a strong seal.
Keel grid: Beneath the cabin sole, a solid floor assembly consisting of interconnected cradles and stringers was designed to absorb the forces from grounding.
Rudder: Counter-balanced spade rudder with wheel steering.
