Designed by Alain Jezequel, the Grand Soleil 343 features elegant lines and balanced proportions, making it a timeless classic. Even with the introduction of IMS racing regulations, the boat has continued to perform well in regattas. The interior reflects the typical Cantiere del Pardo attention to detail, offering a warm and refined atmosphere. The layout includes two spacious cabins—one forward and one aft—each equipped with a double berth. The bathroom with varnished cabinet, the chart table, and the L-shaped galley are positioned aft on either side of the companionway. The central saloon features a dinette with a folding-leaf table.

On deck, the Mediterranean-style cockpit with tiller steering is both functional and ergonomic. The masthead rig provides a simple and efficient sail plan.

The boat is generally in good condition, with the exception of some signs of leakage on the starboard side and the headliner needs to be re-glued. All instruments are in working order except for the wind station, which most likely requires only a new transducer. The sails and shrouds show their age. but still usable for a few more seasons, so their replacement is not an immediate requirement.

Externally, the boat presents very well. The deck has been recently repainted with new non-skid, giving it a fresh and clean appearance. The teak in the cockpit is also in excellent condition; it is clearly not the original and was most likely replaced by one of the previous owners.
