I’d like to immediately list the boat’s many advantages. The hull has ideal seaworthy contours, which is why the stern is narrower and not as spacious as new boats. The cockpit is located closer to the center, providing a very comfortable and protected experience on the water in both fresh and stormy winds. The hull is made using hot-rolled vacuum forming technology, a three-layer sandwich: an 8mm fiberglass outer, 30mm balsa in the middle, and 6mm fiberglass inner (the hole in the hull for the seacock is in the photo). This ensures enormous strength and excellent sound and heat insulation. The furniture, which is almost 40 years old, is perfect and beautiful. I was specifically looking for exactly this kind of boat and considered only three manufacturers: Malo, Hallberg Rassy, and Najad. I needed a fresh motor for this sturdy hull, and that’s exactly what I got: a 2017 Volvo Penta D1-30 with 300 mph. Now, after a long voyage and two years of ownership, it’s rated at 1,200 mph. The boat is equipped with fresh 2021 sails and rigging, and a new boom breaker has been installed. All rigging is routed to the cockpit for comfortable handling. New charger, inverter, solar panel controllers (all Victron), new chartplotter, Garmin instrumentation and autopilot, new radio with a Lowrance AiC receiver, new Lowrance anchor winch with remote control—all purchased and installed by me in the last two years. New 60 Ah starter battery, 100 Ah gel battery in one circuit, and a new 300 Ah lithium battery in the other circuit. The accumulated electricity onboard is sufficient for all needs, with room to spare. A new 40mm diameter stainless steel arch accommodates four 120W solar panels. A Fusion stereo system is also installed.
The fuel tank is 120 liters, the water tank is 280 liters plus 80 liters, and the wastewater tank is 40 liters. New seacocks, new water pumps, and a new water distribution system have been installed, along with a new water maker. A 4 kW Eberspacher diesel heater is also installed. All systems on the boat have been completely refurbished with modern equipment. Two folding swim platforms have also been installed.
The boat is equipped with a dinghy in perfect condition, a well-maintained 5 hp Honda engine, a security camera, and two new electric scooters as a gift.
This is my first boat, and I’ve invested a lot of money, effort, and soul into it. It is truly very reliable, seaworthy, and safe. But after living on it for two years, I realized I needed a significantly larger boat, 50-55 feet, since we live on it full-time.
I’m selling the boat with a clear conscience; it’s in perfect condition and ready for any adventure. Of course, for very long round-the-world trips, you’ll need double sails and an autopilot, but if we’re talking about Mediterranean trips, the boat is fully equipped and ready for its new owner. The boat is registered under the Swedish flag and has a permanent berth in Valencia. The marina berth, including water and electricity, costs 380 EUR per month—one of the lowest prices available, and the new owner will have access to this berth.
