Construction The hull is of GRP construction using a solid laminate below the waterline for strength and durability, with a balsa core above the waterline to reduce weight and increase stiffness. The hull is finished in white gelcoat and incorporates the Hanse signature chines and wide stern sections, contributing to stability and interior volume.
The deck is also GRP with a balsa core and molded non-slip surfaces, providing secure footing throughout. Hull and deck are bonded and mechanically fastened, forming a strong and rigid structure.
The keel is a fin keel configuration, manufactured in cast iron or lead depending on build specification, and secured with stainless steel keel bolts.
